After School Programs – You will be coaching in a chess class at a school for approximately 15 to 20 students. In the class you will be responsible for the safety of the students, having fun and teaching chess, and building a good relationship with students. Coaching consists of 20-30 minutes of teaching and then 30-40 minutes of supervised playing. We provide training to all our coaches and provide resources including our special Chess Curriculum, laptop, projector, and full chess management team.
Online Chess Programs – You will be coaching in an online chess class for 1 – 10 students. In the online class you will be responsible for having fun and teaching chess and building a good relationship with students. Coaching consists of 20-30 minutes of teaching and then 30-40 minutes of online playing. We provide training to all our coaches and provide resources including our special Chess Curriculum and full chess management team.
Duties: Teach the game of chess in an entertaining, fun and organized manner. Some light administrative duties and basic computer chess programs.
Although we pay well by the hour, instructors usually only work 1-2 hours a day. For our very best instructors we offer many additional hours during the school day and provide year end bonus.
